Ministry of Music

The ministry of music at First Presbyterian Church is a broad program that offers opportunities for musicians of all ages. It is a spiritual ministry, having a biblical foundation supported by the fellowship of loving Christians in a musical setting, and is designed to complement the total ministry of the church. Contact our Director of Music Ministry at jfahrenbach@fpclg.org or the Church Office at admin@fpclg.org for more information.

Sanctuary Choir

This choir, directed by Jason Fahrenbach, provides music leadership for the Sunday Worship service on a regular basis. Rehearsals are held on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. and Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in the Choir Loft. Membership is open to all who want to further their musical skills, regardless of their level. Newcomers are always welcome.

Praise and Worship Team

Express your love for the Lord with instrument or voice as part the Praise and Worship Team, which opens our Sunday Worship services. Song choices are a blend of newer songs and traditional songs that have been updated. Basic skill levels and a good sense of rhythm are beneficial. Practices are held on Thursday evenings at 5:45 p.m. and Sunday mornings in the Sanctuary. Our Praise and Worship Team is led by Jason Fahrenbach.

Handbell Choir

Our handbell choir provides music for occasional worship services. Handbells rehearse on Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Choir Room. Contact Doreen Sterba DeZur or the Church Office if you are interested or have questions.

Grand Piano and Pipe Organ

Tyler Kivelโ€™s closing worship music on the piano and organ are the exclamation point to our worship experience.  His music inspires all who hear it and we leave filled with awe, gratitude, and peace.
