Children’s Ministry

(for the youngest ones)

Children are welcome to enjoy our Nursery during either worship service. Our wonderful, trained caregivers, Maria and Sheri, have been in the FPCLG Nursery for 25 years and 10 years respectively. No worries—when you drop off your little one in the nursery, you will receive a pager, in case you are needed. No pre-registration is required.

preschool sunday school

(for Ages 2-5)

Preschoolers are invited to join our Preschool Sunday School at 10:00 worship in the summer and at 11:15 worship during the school year. They remain in the Sanctuary for the beginning of the service through the Time for Children and then walk to the Nursery with their teacher for a Bible story, song and simple craft. The kids will enjoy playtime together for the remainder of the service.

Faith Forest

(for Grades Kindergarten-5)

Children are invited to attend either worship service and remain in the Sanctuary through the Time for Children. Accompanied by trained adults to Room 210 on the second floor, the kids will learn about a weekly Bible passage, participate in related activities and play games in a safe and Bible-based environment. We use the Deep Blue Kids multi-age curriculum for this program. After the worship service, you will be asked to sign your child out before they leave the room. On the first Sunday of each month, children remain in the worship service and participate in Communion.

Cross Trainers

(for Grades 6-8)

Cross Trainers meet throughout the school year on the second floor (Room 203) during the 11:15 a.m. service. (Cross Trainers are encouraged to sit together in the service and exit after the 'Time for Children'). On the first Sunday of each month, youth remain in the worship service and participate in Communion.

In addition to regular gatherings, the 6th-8th graders will be volunteering to participate in Communion services and group mission projects and outings.

Cross Trainers is part faith formation and part youth group. We have monthly topics such as Friendship, Faith, Mission, World Religions, Superheroes and much more. We will be praying, learning, playing games and fostering fellowship and outreach. We encourage our Cross Trainers to bring friends with them. No previous Presbyterian experience is necessary.
