Polar Pals
Summer Camp

August 3-7, 9:00-11:15 a.m.
For Preschoolers through incoming 4th graders

Preschoolers (at least four years old and potty trained) through 4th graders are invited to bundle up for a week of fun, friendship and kindness at Polar Pals Kindness Camp. Each day we’ll explore a different polar animal and discover how they remind us to live out the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Through engaging stories, creative crafts, active games and tasty snacks, campers will learn how kindness, teamwork and caring for others can make the world a warmer place—even in the chilliest places on earth!

Come make new friends, learn about amazing animals from the Arctic and Antarctic, and practice spreading kindness everywhere you go.

We hope you can join us for some arctic acts of kindness!

Community Concert Series

All are invited to monthly weeknight concerts held on the third Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. There is no admission charge.

Coming Up Next:
Tuesday, August 18
Goran Ivanovic

Goran Ivanovic is a genre-defying solo guitarist whose original compositions draw from a rich tapestry of influences—classical, Balkan, cinematic soundtracks, and contemporary harmonic language. Rooted in the acoustic tradition yet constantly evolving, his music blends intricate fingerstyle technique with deeply emotional storytelling.

Born into the cultural crosscurrents of Eastern Europe and shaped by years of classical training and global collaboration, Goran's solo work is a deeply personal exploration of identity, place, and sound. Each piece is a journey—at once intimate and expansive—merging the precision of classical music with the soulful intensity of Balkan folk and the evocative depth of film scores.

Goran’s compositions bridge tradition and modernity, showcasing the solo guitar as a profoundly expressive and complete musical language. Whether on stage or in the studio, his performances are immersive musical journeys—transcending genres and borders to resonate deeply with audiences everywhere.

This concert will be held on outdoors on the church lawn, weather permitting. Bring your lawn chairs or blanket, snacks and friends for an enjoyable evening of music!

Partnership with Living Waters for the World

First Presbyterian Church of La Grange currently has covenants with six partner communities in El Salvador. We have been supporting El Espino with upgrades that allow their water team to produce much more clean water that the community desperately needs. We sent a team to El Paraíso in 2022, to San Cristóbal in 2023, to San Rafael Cedros in 2024, to Mercedes Umaña in 2025 and to Potrero Grande in 2026 to aid in the construction of water purification systems with accompanying public health education for their communities. We hope to sign our seventh covenant and return to El Salvador in 2027.
