Teen Ministries

IB and TUXIS comprise the youth group aspect of Teen Ministry program at FPCLG. These groups for junion high & senior high school age students are focused on having fun and include service projects, social activities, retreats, discussion nights, and more.

We also offer a Confirmation Class where teens can grow further in their spiritual journey. Feel free to speak with one of the pastors if you have any questions or need assistance.

Confirmation is a class for 8th graders interested in becoming an active member of our church. High school students who have not yet joined may also participate. Confirmation stresses mission and service, spiritual growth and learning, worship and Christian community. Confirmation is a blend of classroom sessions, mission and service, relationships developed with each other and adult mentors, weekend retreats, and more! The aim is to represent the essentials of vital, energetic Christian faith to the whole, emerging young person with energy, intelligence, imagination, and love. The class meets on Wednesday evenings in the Youth Center on the third floor. Dinner is provided. The group begins in October and concludes on Confirmation Sunday in May.
