Faith Forest - is our weekly Sunday Church School program for children in Kindergarten through eighth grade. It operates on the Workshop Rotation Model, whereby biblical stories are repeated through a three-to-five week rotation of story-telling, drama, art, science, cooking, mapping, videos, and computers. Mission projects are typically included as part of most rotations. Rooms become multi-dimensional learning environments. Adult volunteers called Rangers, focus their skills and gifts for a one-hour lesson on a rotating basis. Children go to the Sanctuary with their parents for the 10:00 worship service and are dismissed to meet their Rangers in the East Cloister following the Time for the Children message. Parents can meet their children in their classrooms following service. Since children rotate
to different classrooms each week, please refer to the listing in the bulletin or the map on the 2nd Floor.
In addition, we also offer Faith Forest for our Preschoolers. These youngsters also leave the morning service after the Time for Children message and head to their classroom with their ranger.
They meet in Room G2 (lower level) each week. They explore Bible stories, play games, make crafts, and have play time and juice.
We LOVE new children to visit us at Faith Forest. You are welcome anytime!
There are many exciting activities planned
for Faith Forest. We greatly appreciate volunteers. Opportunities exist for people who have
a lot of time to give, and those who have only a little. Skill
sets vary, everyone has something to offer. Contact Gail Patterson or the church office.
