Become a Member of FPCLG

We offer a series of Inquirer’s Classes designed to introduce you to our church and Presbyterianism. These classes are held every few months based on need.

What the Inquirer’s Classes Consist Of
If you are interested in becoming a member or just learning more about First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange, you are invited to attend our New Member Class series.

Meet the Pastor*– "Meet the Pastor" is an opportunity for visitors and prospective members to meet informally with Rev. Koski in the parlor for a "get-to-know-one-another." This will be followed by a tour of the church.

Inquirers Class Part I & II* – During our two-part Inquirer’s Class we explore such topics as our faith journey, what we look for in a church, and responsibilities or church membership. We will present information on the Presbyterian Church in general and our church in particular. Elders, deacons and committee responsibilities will be discussed.

All who are interested are encouraged to attend.

Are There Any Requirements for Membership?
New members must attend Inquirer’s Class and be received into the congregation by the Church Session (local governing body) and by one of the following:
• Profession of faith
• Reaffirmation of faith in Jesus Christ, or
• Transfer certificate from another church.
